HAN is a three year project aimed at improving the food security status of 3000 households the poorest and most vulnerable populations in Bobonaro, Ermera and Liquicia districts. This project draws from previous experiences, lessons and success of LIFT (Local Initiatives for Food Security Transformation) project also funded by the EC. The current project is working with 151 farmer groups who are being trained to improve farming practices and diversify seed production. Some notable achievements of this project to date are the market gardens which have increased variety and brought income for the households. Also the construction of water ponds is significant for the farmer groups.
