Team: Women's Economic Empowerment team
Sandra was Business Manager within the Women’s Economic Empowerment team and supported the team to manage priorities and scope and plan the delivery of the WEE strategy and various projects. She was responsible for ensuring that the business operational aspects were in place including business intelligence, and tools and systems to monitor progress against our goal to economically empower 30 million women by 2020.
Prior to joining CARE, Sandra designed and led the development of a financial sustainability and marketing toolkit for evaluating NGOs. She worked as a business consultant for NGOs, providing advice and guidance for organisational transformation, as well as writing and delivering training courses. She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Middlesex University.

CARE International UK’s humanitarian team supports CARE’s humanitarian work by accessing funding, and by providing project management and technical advice and capacity to CARE’s country offices and CARE’s emergency responses. The Programmes and Policy team is responsible for overseeing programme quality and multiplying the impact of our programming by encouraging governments, business and donors – based on the evidence we witness on the ground – to adopt policy reforms that support the world’s poorest people and communities.
